Santa on a pinata

My favorite Christmas ornament ever is one that i received as a gift when I was about twelve years old.

It's supposed to be Mexican Santa Claus, it's about four inches wide and three inches tall. It is Santa Claus riding a pinata of various colors and the whole thing is very vividly painted and shiny.

I would always play with it when I was younger as if it was a toy and I remember I loved the way it shined in the Christmas lights so much. I asked my parents if I could sleep in the living room just so I can look at it longer.

It is one of the most memorable gifts I've ever received and that is something I can always thank my grandparents for.

Even today I wonder what happened to it as sadly enough, I lost it a few years ago. But even now I still have the memories of it, and the holidays I spent with my family looking upon it on Christmas eve.

I plan on searching for and buying a similar ornament for my kids in the future that way the memories can pass on through it from my generation to the next.
