Child's Story of Family Christmas Tradition

by By: Susanne Alexander-Heaton

Christmas memories shared with me by my niece (who was 7 years old at the time) for a school project she did on her special family Christmas tradition:

"Every year I go to Calgary to make a gingerbread house with my Aunt Susanne. I make the gingerbread house with my sisters too. We have done this since I was a baby. We have so much fun.

While we wait for the gingerbread house to set, we read a story or explore the house, then we take the gingerbread house home."

I have this posted on my fridge and my niece is now 10 years old. It touched my heart that she considered this to be a special family Christmas tradition.
